A new rumor put out by Lootpots indicates that the upcoming Animal Crossing title for Nintendo Switch is “most likely” set for a late Q1 or early Q2 2019 release date.
The source of the information, Lootpots, is owned by Pixelpar, who leaked information about upcoming Nintendo Switch Pokémon games Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! ahead of their official announcements.
Pixelpar, who authored the sourced rumor, notes that “while… this particular source has been correct in the past, it’s always best to take [rumors] with a pinch of salt.”
If the rumored release date is correct, fans of the Animal Crossing series could see the new game release sometime around March or April 2019.
An untitled mainline Animal Crossing game for Nintendo Switch was announced a few weeks ago during a September Nintendo Direct, with no information given about it other than a 2019 release date.
